Is "Run the Reagan" a Peachtree 5K Road Race qualifier?
YES, the 10k is USATF-certified and can be used as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Result postcards will be mailed within 2 weeks of the race. In fact, all three races are certified: Half Marathon – GA96021WC; 10K – GA96020WC; 5K – GA96019WC.

When is the Run The Reagan Classic?
The Run The Reagan Classic is always held on President’s Day Weekend. The 2008 Race will be Saturday, February 16th with the Half-marathon beginning at 8:00am.

What time do the events start?
Start times for each event is as follows: Half Marathon @ 8am, 10k @ 8:15am, 5k @ 10:00am, 1 mile fun run @ 9:30am, Family Festival @ 8am – noon.

Are there prizes?
Yes, Half Marathon, overall male & female - $300, 2nd overall - $150, 3rd overall - $100. Awards for Half Marathon will be given 3 deep in 5-year increments from 19 and under to 70 and over. All Half Marathon finishers receive a Run the Reagan 2008 finisher medal.
5K & 10K Awards will be given to the overall male & female and Masters male & female top finishers and 3 deep in 5-year increments from 10 and under to 70 and over.
Mile Fun Run finishers will receive a ribbon.

When is the Family Festival?
The Family Festival is held on Race Day, Feb. 16th. It begins at 8am and will end at noon. There will be acres of large inflatable rides for kids of all ages and
“The Taste of the Reagan,” which includes free samples from a number of the best local restaurants.  The Festival is completely free for everyone. It is located at the start/finish line next to Up The Creek Restaurant on Ronald Reagan Parkway. You can't miss it.

How do I know if I’m registered?
If you register online, you will receive an email confirmation (details below). If you submit your entry via mail, your cleared check is your confirmation.

When is the last day to register by mail?
You can register by mailing a completed registration form postmarked by Saturday, February 9th to: RUN THE REAGAN,  c/o Racing Solutions, PO Box 468206, Atlanta, GA 31146-9998 (race and pick-up details below).

When is the last day to register online?
Register online via the race website at RunTheReagan.com or at www.active.com through Wednesday, February 13th at midnight (race and pick-up details below).

Can I register on race day?
Yes, race day packet pickup and registration will begin at 6:00am on February 16th in the Up the Creek parking lot at the corner of Presidential Circle and Ronald Reagan Parkway in Snellville.

Can I pre-register in person?
Yes, PRE-RACE Packet Pickup / Late Registration:
FRIDAY ONLY (2/15) from 12 Noon until 8pm at Grace Fellowship Church, 1400 Dogwood Rd. Snellville, GA. (770-979-7000) Pre-registered runners can pick up packets and runners can register in person.

Can I pick up my race packet before race day?

Is the Run The Reagan a USA Track and Field (USATF) certified course?
Yes, both the 10k and the half marathon are USATF certified courses.

What time should I arrive on race day?
Participants should plan to arrive about 1 hour prior to your race’s scheduled start time. Please remember that Ronald Reagan Parkway will be closed, so plan your travel time accordingly.

Where do I park?
There will be clearly marked parking for the Race and the Family Festival at the Emory Eastside Physician’s Center (to the left and right of the hospital), in the Carmike Theatres parking lot, as well as the parking lot in the Presidential Markets shopping center which houses Target, Publix and more. Please do not park immediately in front of any retail stores or in any other restricted areas.

Do you allow baby joggers and non-competitive wheelchairs?
Yes. For safety reasons, operators and occupants of strollers, baby joggers and non-competitive wheelchairs must line up behind the runners. Parents must sign a release form on race day for all stroller and baby jogger occupants (for no additional charge). Non-competitive wheelchair occupants must also sign a release form (parent/guardian signature for those under 18). Baby Joggers are encouraged to participate in the 5k or 10k.

Do you allow dogs to run?
No, this year dogs will not be allowed in the races.

What is the policy on refunds for registration fees?
No refunds or returns are issued for registration fees.

Are there water stations along the course?
Yes, 12 water stations will be provided throughout the entire course, approximately every 1.5 miles. Fluid replacement beverages will also be available at two locations on the course.

Will the race be canceled if the weather is bad?
The Run The Reagan Classic is held regardless of weather conditions, so please dress accordingly.

How do I volunteer for the race?

Is there a course closure time for the Half Marathon?
Yes, 3.5 hours. Participants remaining on the route with slower than a 3.5 hour pace may not receive volunteer support after that time.

Where do I get my T-Shirt?
Shirts will be handed out along with the race numbers at the pre-race packet pick-up on Friday. If you miss the pre-race packet pick-up you will receive your shirt at the Runner Tent near the finish line. Only one shirt per person, per race number can be awarded.

Where can I check my results?
Race Results will be posted Sunday, February 17th in the Gwinnett Daily Post
and the March or April issue of Georgia Runner. Results can also be found on www.active.com no later than Monday, February 18th.

When will results post cards be mailed?
Results postcards for the 10k and the Half Marathon will be mailed within 2 weeks of the race.

Are results announced immediately after the race?
Yes, top finishers for each division will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on the Family Festival stage after the completion of each race.

Where do race proceeds go?
All proceeds from the Run The Reagan Classic go to charities that are committed to this community. The Gwinnett Community Clinic provides medical care for those that are in need; and Young Life staff and volunteers invest time in disinterested high school and middle school students here in this community.
